Covid 19 - 5,683 (known infected in UK, increase of 665 from yesterday)

It's Mother's Day today. I tried to FaceTime Mum but it just wouldn't connect so I had to use the phone. I guess a lot more people are having to speak to their Mother's from a distance today. Then I FaceTimed my sister to check how she was doing. She was heading out to ASDA, I wished her luck and told her to make sure she kept her distance.

People are still being dicks. Queuing around the block at supermarkets and treating this like it's a normal weekend. I wish we could just have a mandatory lockdown now. These people just can't be trusted.

One moron on Twitter said she would rather die of Covid 19 rather than live this restricted life and insisted that she was going to carry on going about her normal business. What a selfish bitch.

The sun was shining again today, but there was still a cold wind. I went for a 4 mile walk up the estate to Wenvoe. The roads seemed pretty busy, lots of motorcyclists too, and I was passed by at least ten cyclists. Luckily I only encountered about six people on the footpath. The didn't really make an effort to stay 2 metres away from me though. So I had to walk right on the edge of the path to get as far away from them as possible. Fools.

I had a lazy afternoon and it felt almost normal. The boss messaged to say that she had decided to stop clients from coming into the office. Very sensible if it wasn't for the fact that we have a man coming down from Hull tomorrow to install our new server. I don't even understand how they can deem that to be 'essential travel'. I'll be greeting him at the door with the hand sanitiser and shoving him in the server room.

I'm hearing form more and more friends that they know of people who have died from the virus. One friend just posted that her 100 year old nana had a mini stroke yesterday. "The paramedics came and had no choice but to make her comfortable and leave her at home. She is being well cared for but still......ordinarily she should’ve gone to hospital." So sad.

Yet, Snowdonia National Park Authority said its area "experienced its busiest ever visitor day in living memory" on Saturday. Oh well, as long as these morons have had a lovely day out that's fine. Let's just let all the old people die. Wankers.
